Making their first appearance in 13 years, the California women made their fall trip East worthwhile, winning the Women’s Championship 8+ by a margin of over 25 seconds. Making the the feat even more impressive, the Bear’s started the event in last place, bow number 32.
In spite of having to thread their way through the field and overtake several crews on the notoriously windy Charles course, Cal was able to post a considerable margin over second place Brown and third place Virginia. With bow number 1, the USA Women, scratching their entry, bow number 2 Virginia lead the championship field down the course, while Brown navigated the course from the fourth starting position.
Congratulations, Cal!
