I think we all may know the story of George and Dick coming to Vancouver, Canada to make their fortunes, then were persuaded (bamboozled?) by Hiram Conibear into going to Seattle. In most accounts it is only said that Dick left Seattle to become Yale’s boatman. So some boats should have been built then, right? Well, here’s my first look at a Dick Pocock 1x. He also built a lot of 8s and 4s. This boat was built for his son, Jim, and is now owned by Jim Jr.
