Pocock COVID-19 Update

To Our Valued Community,

As the reach of COVID-19 continues to expand, we are all presented with unprecedented levels of responsibility to pull our weight and contribute to our communities.

To that end, we are suspending boat building operations effective March 23rd, at 12:00pm.

This is the second pandemic in Pocock Racing Shells 109 year history. Neither two world wars, multiple economic downturns, nor the 1918 Spanish flu have stopped us in the past.

While many elements of boat building have changed since the last epidemic swept the globe, the foundations of how we do business have remained the same. When we are on the other side of this current global challenge, our ability to ramp up will be immediate, and we will eagerly get back to the business of building boats.

Our boats are 100% MADE IN AMERICA.

In fact, our supply chain is overwhelmingly local. If it’s not local, it comes from a domestic producer. No other boat builder can say that.

We will continue to work remotely to support the needs of the rowing community and our customers in any and every way that we can. Although we are not at the shop, we are getting creative to keep everyone moving forward: Parts continue to be fabricated and assembled, orders are being filled, and the service you expect is only an email or phone call away. Most importantly, everyone on the Pocock team will remain employed, paid, and supported while we ride this out following all best practices and protocols.

We wish the very best to you and yours, and look forward to keeping our team and our community strong and connected.

Take care,
John Tytus
